I was the first EcoBroker in North Carolina, but I'm thrilled that many more have followed. Being an EcoBroker is just a natural continuation of my environmental track record. I am a Realtor with Leap Realty, the Triad first carbon-neutral real estate company. I am a member of the US Green Building Council Triad Chapter and a member of the Triad Chapter of the NAHB Green Builders. I am also a member of The Piedmont Plateau Group of The Sierra Club, The Gilbert Pearson Audubon Society, The North Carolina Native Plant Association, and the Piedmont Environmental Action group. I was the 2007 President of The Triad Chapter of The Women's Council of REALTORS. I believe that we make our community stronger by getting involved in those things we believe in.
North Carolina is growing. According to the US Census Bureau, NC had the fourth fastest growing population in the nation in 2006-07. As a Realtor, I want to help people find their new homes. As a Greensboro native, I want to keep Greensboro green. As an EcoBroker, I can do both.
