I love being outside. I appreciate the trees, the grass, even the bees. The natural envirnoment enlivens my soul and grounds me, and I feel fortunate. I have two horses and a dog who are my companions on long. lazy walks...I can't stand to think of a world without this contact. It seems like a no-brainer to me that all newly-constructed homes aren't following the example of sustaining our natural resources, but every conscious act to save energy helps. It promotes a different way of thinking about our responsibility to the world around us.
