I live and work in The Hamptons. Of the more than 1,100 miles of Long Island shoreline, The Hamptons contain the majority of resort destinations because of the intense beauty of the land and majesty of the beaches and waterways. Land values, energy rates and construction prices rank among the highest in the nation here. And seasonal tourism has contributed to many environmental issues which cause local prices to rise even more.
For more than twenty years I have built high-end custom homes and commercial projects. For the past five years I have focused my efforts on green building, completing Southampton's first Energy Star Model Home. And presently, I am working to preserve the East End of Long Island by merging my skills as a green builder with my knowledge of the environment as an EcoBroker. I do not see “green development” as an oxymoron; rather, I believe this is our best opportunity to succeed -individually and collectively.
Most of us would agree that recycling household trash, monitoring thermostats and consuming less tap water are easy ways to save money while also saving the environment. Beyond this, heating and cooling, indoor air quality and alternative energy appear to be important, yet, complex and costly matters. My goal is to simplify the solutions by providing access to accurate information and qualified service providers.
I am uniquely positioned within a network of reputable trade professionals who practice responsible building methods. In addition, I have working relationships with independent auditors of air, water and energy. As a member of the U.S. Green Build Council, the National Association of Home Builders and as a certified Energy Star affiliate I am studied on the most up to date information about efficient home construction. Most importantly, I am qualified to represent the value of your property from an environmental perspective.
