Would you like to know more about me? I was born in Key West, FL into a career military family, married Michael Griswold (now deceased), and have 4 children. Remarried to John Lynn, a physicist/electrical engineer and entrepreneur who owns a robotics/factory automation company. We live in a rural area near Mt Pleasant, NC – where my mother, Myrtle Chunn Spry - age 90, lives with us. I enjoy spending time with my 5 grandchildren; SCUBA diving (love Cayman Brac), reading, photography, and gardening/canning. I’ve traveled extensively on international level, both business and personal, including (among many others) Finland, Germany, Italy, Cuba, and China.
I spent 30+ years in the healthcare industry, first in x-ray equipment manufacturing and then as an entrepreneur. I founded a mobile mammography clinic that provided breast health education and mammography screening to working women and a non-profit organization to provide those same services to under- and uninsured women. During a 15 year period, my healthcare facilities won numerous national awards – including recognition from Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network. I am a graduate of Leadership Charlotte; was active in the Charlotte Chamber and Charlotte Women Business Owners Association; sat on numerous healthcare boards at the national level; and lectured nationally and internationally on healthcare issues. |
