Watersense As
an EcoBroker/Ecosociate you're a Watersense Stakeholder. The U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency's WaterSense program is working to do
for water what EPA's Envergy Star program has done for energy. Here's
the latest that will add to your portfolio of resouces as the best of
the best in consumer advocacy in the real estate profession. WaterSense
is announcing its intent to develop a specification to label
water-efficient high-performing cation exchange water softeners. With
this notification of intent (NOI), WaterSense outlines the efficiency
and performance criteria it intends to include and the technical issues
that still need to be more fully defined and resolved. To view the NOI,
please visit www.epa.gov/watersense/products/watersofteners.html. WaterSense
will host a public meeting via webinar on Wednesday, January 19th to
address any questions regarding the NOI and gather input for
specification development. Interested parties can find out more and
register for this by visiting the WaterSense website.
Even
if you cannot attend the meeting, WaterSense is interested in hearing
your input. If you have comments of suggestions on the cation exchange
water softener specification development process, please contact
watersense-products@erg.com. For any questions regarding the WaterSense
program in general, please contact the WaterSense helpline at (866)
WTR-SENS (987-7367) or email watersense@epa.gov. From an EcoBroker's
sphere of communications perspective, WaterSense has information your
sphere will find useful. It's worth a look.
